Craft Through Execution

Role/ Director, Technical Design

Focus/ Translating bold creative vision into scalable craftsmanship

I led the Technical Design function for Nike Energy Apparel

— Home to Nike’s most experimental collaborations. My team partnered with Jacquemus, KNWLS, CPFM, and others to develop silhouettes and construction platforms that fused luxury craftsmanship with performance precision.

Working cross-functionally with Design, Innovation, and Development, we established:

  • Silhouette and fit systems that maintained creative intent through scaling

  • Digital prototyping standards (CLO 3D) for visualization and early validation

  • Material integration frameworks that accelerated timelines by 30–50%

Our goal was to redefine what craft means at Nike — where couture precision meets technical performance.

Precision Making to Scalable Systems

  • Bridging couture craftsmanship with Nike performance standards.

From seamless construction to custom hand-made lace trims, Nike Energy pushed the boundaries of apparel craft through bold external collaborations — and our team was there to bring those ideas to life.

  • Digital prototyping as the new craft

Starting in FA/HO23, as the team’s Digital Captain, I led the Nike Energy Apparel team in defining and implementing our 3D digital prototyping roadmap — from seasonal timelines to tool templates and workflow standards. The initiative achieved a 90% adoption rate, tripling our original target, with the majority of prototypes beginning in 3D.

  • Systemized silhouette library enabling design consistency and speed

As part of the digital roadmap, I built a shared 3D Toolbox that unified process, visibility, and collaboration. Within it, I compiled a master list of high-priority styles identified by the Design team, formed a dedicated working group, and created a centralized dashboard to track and archive all 3D prototypes in one place.

KNWLS FA25

The KNWLS collaboration stood as a pinnacle moment — where precision, partnership, and relentless problem-solving came together to turn an audacious vision into reality.

ISPA HO23

Putting the right resources on the right type of project makes all the difference in the outcome. Despite early concerns that ISPA’s complexity might not suit 3D, the team thrived in CLO — achieving one of the most accurate first prototypes to date.

CLO 3D Reference block library

The block library spanned all genders, collections, and teams — creating a unified foundation for consistency and scalability across the entire apparel offense.
